This morning I installed Nero 7 Essentials on my Vista system. During the installation I was required (sic) to install DirectX 9.0. After I installed Nero 7, I tried running it, and found that it ran VERY slow; it took about 5 minutes for the program to load. I also found that everything on my computer was taking a long time to load. Internet browsers were taking about a minute to load, and every other program took about 5 minutes to start up. Anyway, I just uninstalled Nero, and it took about 15 minutes for Vista to restart.
Could these problems be due to DirectX 9? I never checked if Direct X 9 was compatible with Vista 64. Is there anyway to undo whatever was done when I installed Nero? (Aside from reloading Vista?).

I hav recently purchased HP Pavillion DV6452 se with windows vista home premium, the problem is whenever i am playing any media player files or any video files the video streaming is not gud,it is playing image by image ,there’s no continuous streaming and if it is continuous streaming then i am unable to maximize the video screen to fullscreen. what may be probem pleeeeeeeeeeeese help me.
I got this BSOD tonight with this stop error 0×0000003b System_Service_Exception. Then at the very bottom of the BSOD was a memory dump. Has anyone gotten this yet. Im running
Vista Home Premium 64bit. At the time of the BSOD i was using 163.44 beta drivers from Nvidia. Thank you in advance.

Im running windows vista ulitmate and for some reason when i open internet explorer the internet explorer security box pops up and says A WEBSITE WANTS TO OPEN WEB CONTENT USING THIS PROGRAM ON YOUR COMPUTER The name is windows host process (rundll32) the publisher is microsoft windows. Then it says ALLOW or DONT ALLOW i always click on dont allow. Can some one please help me out here its driving me crazy….oh yea when i click on details it says

There is a problem with Microsoft’s WGA servers and they are not allowing Vista to be activated as Genuine.

Do not do anything that would require you to reactivate or validate Vista.
EX: Windows Updates, Hot Fixes, Activation, etc.
Wait a week before trying again to give Microsoft a chance to sort through the problem. If you do not, you will be left with a Vista that is considered not Genuine.

I’m trying to run the setup program for Daemon tools and alcohol 120 and vista comes back sayin "I need administrator privileges to proceed even though I’m logged in as an admin and have full permissionson the file/s. Any ideas????
I’m looking at buying a new computer and it appears that Vista is about my only OS option (whether I like it or not, and I don’t). I already know I’m going to have some problems installing my programming software. My question is - does anyone know if I can install older versions of Microsoft Office? I have the 2002 version and I sure don’t want to pay for Office 2007 if I don’t need to.
